Disable South Vietnam Veteran Mai Hữu Thu (military identification number: 206.658).  Lost both legs during battle against Vietcong in 1973.  With his disability and lack of social safety net in Vietnam, he has to sell lottery tickets on the street of Saigon to make living, however his health condition has been in the decline rapidly due to hearth disease, hypertension, diabetes and back pain.  He is unable to earn enough money to support himself.

Disable South Vietnam Veteran Nguyễn Đức Minh (military identification number: NQ/316620).  Mr. Nguyen lost both eyes during a battle during the war.  He is living with his son under very difficult conditions.

Disabled South Vietnam Veteran Nguyễn Văn Cứ (military identification number: 73/120135) was injured during an encounter with enemy in 1972. He lost both hands and both eyes during the fight.  The one person that has been helping Mr. Nguyễn through all these years is no longer able to assist him.

Disabled South Vietnam Veteran Dương Minh Châu (military identification number: 43/492,719) was hit with artillery shell fragments during a battle in 1971, which shattered his spine and caused him to become parallyzed below the waist.  Mr. Dương lives with his wife who is old and unable to work to support both of them.  In addition, he has multiple chronic diseases due to his immobility.

He is unable to work because of liver disease and constant headache due to metal fragcments that are still lodged inside of his head.  He is living in extreme poverty.
